We see patients ages 15 and up who have their permanent adult teeth, including high school students, college students, and young professionals. If you have a younger child who needs care, call our office and we can talk through the best option for your family.
For many patients, yes. Invisalign can correct mild to moderate crowding, gaps, and some bite issues with removable, nearly invisible aligners and no food restrictions. Results depend on wearing the aligners about 20 to 22 hours a day. We will evaluate your teeth at a consultation and let you know if aligners are the right fit.
Wisdom teeth usually come in between the late teens and early twenties. We track them with X-rays during routine visits and recommend removal when they are impacted, crowding other teeth, or likely to cause problems. Removing them before the roots fully develop usually means an easier recovery.
You should not feel pain during the procedure. We use local anesthesia, and Dr. Bennett is board-certified in IV sedation for patients who prefer to be more relaxed. Some swelling for a few days afterward is normal, and most patients return to school or work within two to three days.
Every six months for an exam and cleaning. Patients wearing aligners, drinking a lot of soda or energy drinks, or with a history of cavities may benefit from more frequent visits, which we will recommend if needed.
